Result Collection

On Thursday 22nd August Year 11 students for the Academic year 2023-24 are invited to come to the Main School to collect their results. The time of collection will be between 9am and 11am.

Results slips are available to candidates on the day of issue. These will not be posted.

(PLEASE NOTE: Results are never given out by phone.)

If you require somebody else to collect the results on your behalf we need to be notified by letter or email from the student (not parent), likewise if you require results via email the email address must be that of the student and the request must also come from them either by letter or their email.

If you are unable to collect your results in person, you may nominate someone to collect them on your behalf but only if you have given written consent via email to the Exams Officer email address exams@koru-ed.co.uk . Once given permission the nominated person must bring I.D to be able to collect results. – THIS ARRANGEMENT INCLUDES PARENTS/CARERS.

If you will be away on holiday and are unable to nominate someone else to collect your results, as a last resort, you may provide us with a letter permitting us to email your results to you. Please note, although emailed results will be issued on the official result days, we cannot specify a time for release. Email requests will only be accepted from students own personal email address to:  exams@koru-ed.co.uk .

Members of the Exams Team and Teaching Staff will be there to offer support and advice.

Please note that these requests need to be received no later than the Tuesday 23rd July 2024.

Certificates Collection

Examination certificates will arrive in school during November. Closer to this period we will call all Parents/Carers that they have arrived in Koru and to collect these from us.

(Please note: Certificates will not be posted home.)

If you cannot collect these from us you can nominate someone to collect your certificates on your behalf but we will require a letter confirming who they are, we will require some form of identification from the person you have nominated. Please email the exams@koru-ed.co.uk to nominate a third party.

Unclaimed certificates are kept for one year from date of issue and then will be destroyed.

Certificates are only printed once and replacement certificates are not issued by the Awarding Bodies.  Please keep all certificates safe, you will need them in the future.  In the unlikely event that you do lose or mislay your certificates, you will need to request a “Statement of Results” from the exam boards; a downloadable form is available on each of the following websites:

www.aqa.org.uk   www.edexcel.org.uk    www.ocr.org.uk

How to Appeal

If you wish to appeal your results or, as a school we feel that you should, you will not be able to do this yourself as this will need to be completed by Koru.

There is a Fee for each stage of the appeals process and the price will differ depending on each exam board. For review of marking appeals, you will be charged per individual student at the component/unit level.

All payments will need to be paid before we submit the Appeal to cover the costs.

If you would like to submit a request for a clerical re-check or a review of the original marking, and then a subsequent appeal for one of your examinations after your subject grade has been issued, there are three possible outcomes:

  • Your original mark is lowered, so your final grade may be lower than the original grade you received.
  • Your original mark is confirmed as correct, so there is no change to your grade.
  • Your original mark is raised, so your final grade may be higher than the original grade you received.

(You will not be charged if your appeal is upheld at either stage.)

A consent form will be given for the student to sign alongside their results if they wish to appeal.

Staff members will be in the school to support you if you have any questions.
